![]() ![]() It’s a shame that this isn’t bundled with the main game by default, as the variety it provides goes a long way to fleshing out the experience. This pack was part of a Kickstarter bonus which is now being offered separately. ![]() The Special Resources pack provides several new vehicles, ranging from armored vans to police push bikes. The full version of the game comes alongside a single DLC package which expands dramatically on the resources available. Most importantly, the game also features audio voice calls to which the operator must respond appropriately, choosing from a list of possible dialogues – or even choosing to ignore the call completely, if it is deemed unimportant. The player is tasked with managing resources and directing emergency vehicles to situations ranging from yard fires to violent encounters with organized crime. Got That Numberĩ11 Operator strives to create a simulated experience of what it might be like to sit in the seat of an emergency service dispatcher. ![]() Now that this emergency service simulator is fully released, it’s time to go back and see whether the game is a priority call or just a wrong number. When we looked at 911 Operator’s alpha build last year, we found an intriguing concept which was rather rough around the edges and far from completion. When you get a call you've already received before about a cat in a tree or a prank pizza call it is frustrating to know you have to force through certain conversation points to succeed or flat-out ignore it based on the first two words.911 Operator: Special Resources from Jutsu Games The individual alerts are simple enough as you manage the scenarios you are juggling so many things the repetition isn't much. Since there are only so many calls available you WILL eventually start hearing repeats that will require the same responses. The advertisement for the DLC just talks about the extra stuff that will be mixed in and help with the repetition. They could have slightly increased the price and I wouldn't have thought anything. This is not intended to be a "gold edition" but the age of the DLC makes me feel it could have been baked into this edition, especially with the loss of the infinite custom cities. These have been out on other platforms for a while. There are two DLCs for the game that add new cities, scenarios, equipment, and abilities. ![]() In general, my complaints with the game are few but valid. ![]()
